Yokosuka Chuo train station
Well, it has been an interesting first week! The jet lag is wearing off...we were up at 0430 most days this week...
We've been house hunting --> the places can be small, but we've found several that are totally adequate, even big by our apartment standards. Mold, cold, and commute are negatives...but most places we've seen (and liked) are near train stations. It's very hard to know what to do...we saw the on base housing and that is also good - bigger appliances, nice view, etc. so we're not sure.
Test driving a ton of cars -- from a little (and I do mean little) Miata, to a Jeep Cherokee, to a Nissan - mercedes like conversion...still no car yet.
But then, it's only been 5 days. We're working on it.
yokosuka can be very busy and the signage everywhere can make your head spin (you can see some of it in the background here)...good food though. There is some beach property...we're trying to find a house there...
This week is Area Orientation and FIELD TRIPS...using the train. The train system is so on time that you can set your watch to it. Which is good - and bad, if you tend to be late.
Enjoy the small photo gallery - we'll have more to show later CLICK HERE.
