Adventures abound lately...Justin's been camping, doing Venturing, going to swim meets, coaching, going to Boy Scout meetings, and now heading up the membership committee for the hospital spouse club...SUCH a social dragonfly (more male appropriate)!!!

I've been...um....working....but recently went hiking, strawberry picking and wine tasting on the other side of Mt Fuji...the hiking was wonderful. The only downfall is that trying to find the trailhead again will be next to impossible. Also the trails are rarely marked well, so one wrong turn and i could be hiking to China (okay, I might hit a coast first, but that isn't the point)...the terrain was lovely, if a little slippery from a week of rain, but the waterfalls were well worth it. Reminds me of hiking in the Sierras at time.

The wine in Japan is not , shall we say, European. Grape growing is done in certain valleys of the Kanto plain, but i can't say that this weather is exactly, uh, mediterrRAINean..sheesh. The wine was okay...bought some special cherry blossom dessert wine. Great for dinner parties.

Work has been full of adventure, paperwork and lots of learning, but since when is it not?

We are prepping for a trip to Hong Kong -- I'm presenting at the WONCA (world family medicine organization) conference there -- and we will be there for almost a week! Can't wait...truly looking forward to seeing another part of the world...and buying some clothes that might actually fit me!!! (not to mention shoes and purses and jewelry...maybe a little early birthday gift ...

hey...we're missing some PHONE CALLS HERE....call call call....940-441-4423...

hugs to all.
